Aptean launches outcome-based AI offering for manufacturers

Aptean, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software, announced Aptean Ascent, an AI-powered offering designed to help manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers move past the roadblocks stalling most AI projects. Ascent combines Aptean’ s industry experts, innovative solutions and purpose-built AI agents to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Manufacturers and distributors are under increased pressure in the face of tightening margins, labour shortages and continuous shifts in supply chains. Organisations acknowledge AI presents the opportunity to supercharge business performance and avoid falling behind rivals who are improving each quarter.
performance. Aptean and each customer start by agreeing on clear, measurable goals. From there, Aptean is measured on how well it delivers against them. The results are delivered, validated and owned as much by Aptean as by the customer.
“ Our customers don’ t need another pilot or another roadmap. They want business outcomes and need a partner who’ ll stay in the room until the work pays off,” said TVN Reddy, CEO, Aptean.
However, many of the early AI pilots are failing. They fade out quietly or lose momentum at the execution stage when the hard work of making it happen falls back on the customer. A recent Aptean study found the expectations around AI are still outpacing outcomes with 82.5 % of respondents agreeing AI’ s value is clear but hasn’ t been fully realised yet.
This is the gap Ascent is built to close. Ascent helps customers discover and validate the highest-value AI opportunities, anchored in their business benchmarks and current operating

Teradyne makes US $ 300 million strategic investment in FormFactor

FormFactor, a leading provider of semiconductor test and measurement technologies, and Teradyne, a leading provider of automated test equipment and advanced robotics, have announced the two companies have entered into a broad technology collaboration aimed at accelerating the development, validation and high-volume production deployment of nextgeneration semiconductor devices. In addition, Teradyne has agreed to purchase shares of FormFactor common stock.

The collaboration brings together FormFactor’ s industry-leading expertise in probe technologies, interface solutions, test engineering and device characterisation with Teradyne’ s advanced automated test platforms to help customers address growing semiconductor complexity. Together, the companies will partner to advance semiconductor test architectures, optimise test infrastructure and enhance production readiness for existing and emerging applications, including high-performance compute( HPC), advanced packaging, high-bandwidth memory( HBM) and silicon photonics.
“ The semiconductor industry is entering a period where test performance, scalability and time-to-market are becoming decisive competitive advantages,” said Mike Slessor, Chief Executive Officer of FormFactor.“ By combining FormFactor’ s deep expertise in device characterisation, probing, interfaces and production test solutions with Teradyne’ s test platforms, we can help customers accelerate innovation and move more efficiently from technology development to high-volume manufacturing.”
“ The most demanding test challenges in advanced packaging, silicon photonics and memory can’ t be solved by a single company,” said Gregory Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Teradyne.“ By investing in FormFactor and combining our leading-edge test platforms with FormFactor’ s probe and interface expertise, we’ re building a more complete, validated path to production for our shared customers and reinforcing our commitment to an open, interoperable ecosystem.”
