Less than half of employers have formal guidance in place for acceptable AI use at work , research finds

The majority of businesses acknowledge

AI ’ s potential risks , yet only a small portion have established comprehensive controls surrounding its use .
This is according to new findings from Sapio Research examining both consumer and employer attitudes towards AI across Europe .
The report surveyed 800 consumers and 375 business decision-makers responsible for their finance department , with respondents from the UK , Germany , France and the Netherlands .
Sapio ’ s Finance Pulse 2024 Report revealed that 93 % of organisations are aware that AI carries potential risks , with top perceived risks including data security ( 43 %), lack of accountability and transparency ( 29 %) and skills gaps for safe and effective use ( 29 %).
However , despite high awareness of its potential pitfalls , only 46 % of the
businesses surveyed have formal guidance in place for the acceptable use of AI for employees at work .
In addition , less than half ( 48 %) have restrictions on what data can be inputted into AI models and tools at work and less than two in four ( 38 %) have any strict access limitations .
Andrew White , CEO and Co-founder of Sapio Research , said : “ AI remains a top investment priority for businesses across Europe . However , its arrival and integration into the workplace has been fast , leaving some employers ‘ in the dark ’ about how their staff are using it , and many struggling to put the correct measures in place to govern it .”
The majority of businesses surveyed have plans to use AI within the next two years ( 75 %). The use of Generative AI is particularly pronounced in finance ( 63 %) roles .

Yango Drive rolls out Tesla Cybertruck rentals in UAE

Yango Drive , a car rental service and part of global tech company Yango Group , has introduced the Tesla Cybertruck to its partner rental fleet , the largest in Dubai . Users can now rent out the latest in automotive innovation through the Yango App with just a few taps on their devices .

Yango Drive now offers two models of the Cybertruck , the Cyber All-Wheel Drive and the Cyber Beast , known for their futuristic design and high-performance capabilities . The electric vehicles feature bulletproof stainless steel exoskeletons and shatterproof windscreens and can accommodate up to five adults . This addition comes on the heels of the Dubai Police adding the model to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet last month .
The Cyber All-Wheel Drive accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.1 seconds and offers an estimated range of 755 + km with an extender . The Cyber Beast model , on the other hand , can reach 100 km / h in just 2.7 seconds , tops off at 200 kmph and provides an estimated extended range of 705 + km . With steer-by-wire and rear steering , patrons will get the experience of handling a sports car with a better turning radius than most sedans .
Users can rent the Cybertruck for any duration starting from one day , with daily rates starting from AED2800 , depending on
the model . Both delivery and self-pickup options are available . A minimum age of 23 years and at least one year of driving experience with a valid licence are required to rent the Cybertruck . x
