Hyundai Motor Group accelerates AI transformation across its business
Hyundai Motor Group has shared its Digital Transformation
( DX) and AI Transformation( AX) journey, key achievements and future plans at the Hyundai Motor Group AX Achievement Showcase, held at its headquarters in Seoul.
The event highlighted how the group has prepared the foundation for AX through its DX efforts since 2019 and showcased the progress, key achievements and future direction of its enterprise-wide AX initiatives.
As the mobility industry rapidly evolves from a manufacturing-centred industry to one where data and software capabilities define competitiveness, the group has proactively advanced its DX efforts since 2019. Building on accumulated data and a digitally enabled working environment, the group is now accelerating AX across the organisation.
“ AI is undoubtedly an important technology, but ultimately it is a tool that companies must utilise. What matters is not the technology itself, but how quickly an organisation can understand new technologies, including AI, apply them to its work and business and internalise them as a source of competitive advantage. Building on our ongoing DX efforts, Hyundai Motor Group is expanding AX through the integration of AI and other intelligent technologies,” said Eunsook Jin, President and Head of ICT Management Division, Hyundai Motor Group.
Kyndryl announces agreement to purchase Healthcare IT Leaders to accelerate AI-led modernisation
Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission critical enterprise technology services, has announced its intent to acquire Healthcare IT Leaders, an enterprise IT services provider for hospitals and health systems. The acquisition will enable Kyndryl to more effectively address growing customer demand for its AI-led business modernisation across healthcare providers and payors by leveraging Healthcare IT Leaders’ healthcare consulting and application managed services expertise.
“ Healthcare organisations are under increasing pressure to advance complex clinical, operational and workforce systems while maintaining resiliency, security and compliance,” said Jamie Rutledge, President of Kyndryl US.“ By combining Healthcare IT Leaders’ healthcare consulting expertise with Kyndryl’ s AI-led modernisation capabilities, we will be better positioned to support providers and payors.”
Kyndryl already supports a broad set of healthcare organisations by running large-scale, highly regulated IT environments across the US. The addition of Healthcare IT Leaders’ business will deepen Kyndryl’ s relationships with leading national healthcare systems and expand Kyndryl’ s access to the application and consulting layer of those environments.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed during the second quarter of Kyndryl’ s fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory review.
Following the close of the acquisition, Kyndryl will combine Healthcare IT Leaders’ consulting expertise in applications across clinical, operational and workforce platforms with Kyndryl’ s infrastructure leadership and AI capabilities to enable healthcare organisations to work with a single provider across applications, platforms and underlying IT environments.
