1. UK
New research released by URocked, a market-leading digital tipping platform, has found that 54 % of UK consumers don’ t trust that restaurants are passing on 100 % of tips to staff, a year after the Allocation of Tips Act 2023 came into effect. The study reveals significant implementation gaps, with 25 % of employers admitting to making no changes since the law came into effect in October 2024 and among restaurant staff, 24 % report seeing no changes in how their employers handle tips. Twenty percent say they have received more tips since the legislation was introduced, while 23 % report receiving fewer.
2. FRANCE
Picadeli is now taking the next step in France by winning a new three-year contract with TotalEnergies, one of Europe’ s largest operators of service and fuel stations along motorways. Picadeli established its first salad bar on French motorways in 2018 and now operates seven units in the TotalEnergies network. With the new agreement, running from June 2025 to June 2028, Picadeli and TotalEnergies will significantly expand the number of salad bars across the network. TotalEnergies operates around 180 motorway stations in France, making the partnership a strategically important platform for continued expansion.
3. MIDDLE EAST
IBM announced an expanded Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS( Amazon Web Services) to accelerate secure cloud adoption and Digital Transformation across the Middle East.
