EDITOR ’ S NOTE

It is a pleasure to be welcoming you to Issue 19 of Intelligent CXO , especially as it is my first issue back after more than a year away on maternity leave . Thank you to my colleague , Catherine Darwen , who has been doing an amazing job of holding the fort while I have been away . She will now be the editor of two new magazines from Lynchpin Media called Intelligent Health . tech and Intelligent Fin . tech .

This month ’ s front cover of Intelligent CXO focuses on Ordnance Survey , which is the national mapping agency for Great Britain . In recent years , the company has started helping other countries realise their own data . Paul French , Chief Commercial Officer of Ordnance Survey , explained how the enterprise is making moves in the Middle East by helping the region make use of its location data . Ordnance Survey is currently working with the Dubai Municipality . During the first couple of years , it helped them understand the location data they have access to , how they can make the most of that and how they can interpret that data for the best use of their citizens .
Our Business Insight comes from Erudit . In the age of remote working , quiet quitting is a phenomenon that companies all around the world must grapple with . Alejandro Martinez , CEO and Co-founder at Erudit , tells Mrigaya Dham about how having the correct employee feedback tools in place can empower organisations to retain and motivate their top talent and stay ahead of their competition .
Meanwhile , our Final Word section explores how chief data officers are leading the digital revolution . Using data to inform business decisions has led to a new role – the chief data officer . John Salt , Co-founder of OnlyDataJobs , shares the three skills needed to succeed in the chief data officer role and explores the attributes that future candidates will have .
