BT expands green tech platform to help manufacturers reach net zero

BT has announced the next phase of its Green Tech Innovation Platform – which sees the company collaborating with scale-ups to develop breakthrough tech to support the race to net zero .

The Green Tech Innovation Platform , launched in 2020 , was awarded the Responsible Business Alliance Innovation Award at COP26 and has already fostered a series of successful green innovation partnerships . solutions to market ,” said Dean Terry , MD , Corporate and Public Sector at BT .
BT is already supporting , Glasgow based scale-up iOpt , on using its IoT platform , which enables real-time information and alerts on the condition of properties for social housing providers like housing associations and local councils . BT is also working with Everimpact to deploy environment monitoring solutions for local authorities to help reach their sustainability goals , with a proof of concept to be rolled out via BT ’ s new digital Street Hub units in spring .
These are focused on developing solutions to help public sector organisations in reaching their net zero carbon emissions targets .

Latino Leadership Institute launches programme to grow Latino and BIPOC businesses

Latino Leadership Institute ( LLI ), a non-profit that unlocks the full economic and social potential of diversity by elevating Latino and BIPOC professionals across sectors and industries , has launched of its Latino Entrepreneur Access Program ( LEAP ) to move Latino and BIPOC entrepreneurs from high potential to high growth .

LEAP ' s mission is to support sustained , profitable revenue growth , promote workforce expansion , and realize the full economic potential of growth-stage Latino- and BIPOC-owned businesses by providing access to new capital from public and private financing sources .
Currently , only 3 % of Latinos are accepted into conventional accelerator programmes , which focus primarily on start-up enterprises . In contrast , LEAP is structured to propel solid , growth-stage Latino- and BIPOC-owned companies to even greater heights of success . Among other objectives , LEAP will focus on providing access to necessary technical , social and financial capital and contextual support needed to reach profitability and achieve scale .
